The updated 33 pin xwhatsit controller allows both the solenoid and 3 LED lock lights to operate at the same time.

The xwhatsit controller (whether with xwhatsit or QMK firmware) allows you to have both a solenoid and up to two LEDs at the same time (example: Num Lock and Caps Lock).
