Both keyboards make audible noise at a level that is similar, though the Model F has the ability to modify it to reduce the sound (see the manual for additional details on the Floss Mod). If you are new to the Model F and beam spring keyboards, I recommend starting with the Model F which is what most folks do, and then if they like it very much they often decide to add a beam spring to their rotation of keyboards.
