Hello. I recently spilled a bit on my original run keyboard and while cleaning it broke off the micro USB port and was looking for advice on fixing it. I was wondering if there was any way to upgrade it to Bluetooth or USB c while I’m at it. Or it not what the best replacement part would be. I’ll probably end up taking it somewhere as i don’t have much confidence in soldering very small items like that. Thanks for the help
If you are handy with soldering you can desolder the old controller and replace it with a new controller, the xwhatsit USB-C. You can’t put a USB C connector on your micro USB controller.
Or you can order a presoldered controller+capacitive PCB (the recommended option; check with me for stock availability first).
