Would it be possible to add a solenoid to the Ultra Compact F62? I saw that the parts are in stock again, and was hoping to do it to my one.

You could, but the solenoid would have to be mounted externally as it won’t fit in the case. I’d probably mount it near the USB cable port in the back. It would definitely look cool with an external mount! You could see the solenoid in action with each actuation!

Are there any visual examples of a solenoid mounted on the outside of an ultra compact case?

Not specifically but feel free to share them!

There are several photos and projects for 3d printed solenoid holders which can be used within the classic style cases or they can be used external to the compact cases to hold the solenoid driver and solenoid in place. Look around on the updates page with the keyboard “3d printed” and you may find them.

Nope, the solenoids are mountable externally for all compact case keyboards. Everything goes inside for all classic case keyboards. For the compact cases, you would install the solenoid driver inside and there is a hole in the bottom of the case where the solenoid wire can connect to the solenoid driver inside the keyboard.
