In the past, you had mentioned that the beamspring modules between the round 1 and 2 projects would be incompatible; but I noticed on the Deskthority project page that you are now considering using the same stainless steel alloy in round 2 that was used in round 1. Are there other design differences which would keep the two rounds from being compatible? If so, can you share any details on those differences?
The round 2 modules are about 1mm taller to allow for secure placement when there is foam between the top plate and above the beam modules. Without this, the modules may shift around. I would not use the round 1 modules in the round 2 boards, though round 2 modules will work in round 1 boards but they will stick out a little (the keys would cover them for the most part).
