The vial user manual indicates some firmware has limited space for macros – how does the F122 controller fare in this respect?

Does the F122 appear to the host computer as a standard generic USB keyboard?

Yes it is a standard USB keyboard without drivers.

The F122 is expected to use the new Leyden Jar controller, which uses the RP2040 chip, so you can check out the chip’s specifications to see but this chip has plenty of memory.
