How to properly re-seat keycaps?

I have one of the early F62\’s. and It\’s really a scary thing to re-seat keycaps, because often I have to re-pull and re-seat, before the key will register again (I am doing this with capsense running so I can watch the matrix).

What\’s the correct procedure? Because I seem to have really crappy luck getting keys to register after I put the keycap back on.

figured it out. The trick is that you HAVE to seat the keys with the springs basically floating (so vertical)

Everyone please note that I have created a project manual (see the new tab) that includes videos and installation/ key re-seating instructions. It is easy to make a mistake and damage a spring so I recommend that everyone goes through the manual.
