On both of my F77’s the default mapping for the Function key was the right Ctrl and the key immediately to the left of it was mapped to NumLock. I remapped this on my first F77 to have the right Ctrl key as Ctrl and mapped the smaller key to the left as Fn. But on my 2nd F77, when I do the same, the new Fn key, which is also now on the key immediately to the left of right Ctrl , doesn’t work as a momentarily on function key when pressed. It makes the 1st layer permanently on and I can’t get back to layer 0 unless I unplug the keyboard and plug back in again. As an experiment I remapped this Fn key to right control and the right Ctrl key back to Fn. It works as normal, ie the Ctrl key (same physical key) works as momentarily on when pressed.
I’m not sure what is going on here. The key was definitely remapped to MO(1) like my first F77. Could it be an issue with the flipper? The key sounds just like the others and the spring buckles too like the other keys.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I did hear something about making sure a layer has the KC_TRANS setting or something like that but you’d have to check on the forums.
Thank you for both posting this and the response from the “admin” of the KC_TRANS hint to fix it. It was my first time programming a keyboard as well and just needed that “small” hint to make it perfect!
Sorry, will do. The remapped Fn key (old NumLock) didn’t have KC_TRNS assigned on Layer 1. I added that, re-flashed it, and now it works. Thanks for the tip.
