There are a few questions I have that my searching hasn’t been able to clarify. Apologies in advance if my ‘Fu is bad. (I’m mainly looking at getting an Ultra Compact Modern Case F77 Model F Keyboard)
- From your main page, am I to understand that the run ENDS on 6/30/21, in 4 days? I can’t order ANY keyboards after that date?
- I’m having trouble understanding the difference of “US ANSI layout” and “ANSI Enter – No ISO Enter”.
- Why is the Dark Grey Printed set $65 more than the Regular Grey set? (curious, not criticizing)
- I know shipping time has been an issue in the past, but I cant find any comments more recent than last August. So what is the ROUGH ship-out time if I ordered something today? 3 weeks, 3 months, longer?
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate what your doing here. F switch is the best and I cant see any good reason why companies aren’t mass producing them.
Great; glad you are joining the project! Kindly see my replies below:
- Not to worry, we are still in the early bird round. However, I expect price increases at an unannounced point later this year as part of the final round.
- ANSI layout is the standard layout found on US keyboards (obviously made to fit on these smaller Brand New Model F keyboards). ANSI Enter – No ISO Enter means that the key set is only available in ANSI because there is no ISO Enter key available for certain keycap colors: black, 60% dark gray, and blue.
- From the start, the additional keycap color offerings have been a premium option. The extra funds for these sets help cover the tens of thousands of dollars in project cost overruns incurred to bring back the best keyboard ever.
- All keyboards are made to order with an expected lead time of months. The hope is to get everything out over the coming months and by year end or around year end.
