Yes that option lets you skip the line. We go by order number, not serial number, for shipping, so you can pick a higher number without worry.

Yes ok to add a low serial – if creating an order with only small accessories (e.g. no keyboards), please choose free/other shipping at checkout, right before clicking Place Order.
Everyone gets USB-C now for their keyboards as the old production batches are completely gone (I do have a few micro USB xwhatsit controllers if anyone needs them, but they are not available factory installed to the keyboard).
