Hi there,
I am looking to buy a Round 2 Beamspring keyboard with a 122 key layout as a daily use keyboard. I would like to gain an estimate on how long the parts are designed to last for: including the controller, the solenoid, and solenoid driver and switches: how many cycles and hours are the solenoid, controller, and solenoid driver and switches rated to last for? I would like to know so I can get a good estimate when budgeting out how many spare solenoids, controllers, and drivers to buy as backups to keep on the shelf to act as a reserve of parts, since I would like to get a lot of use out of this keyboard, potentially for the rest of my life.
Thank you,
W. Adams.
Great; glad you are joining the project! There is no way to predict how long each part will last so I recommend that everyone orders as many spare parts as is feasible, so that the community of beam spring users will have spare parts to share long after production has shut down.
At a minimum I recommend ordering one deluxe first aid kit, one spare controller, and one spare solenoid driver with solenoid.

Thank you very much, I will buy a large reserve so I can have spare parts for the future.
