My right shift key has suddenly started to act strangely: Occasionally it stops responding completely, but if I stand my keyboard up vertically and tap the bottom lightly on my desk and set it back down again, it will work again for a little while. I assume this problem must have something to do with the positioning of the spring. I have replaced the spring twice but I’m still experiencing the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this?
There is a new hour long step by step setup guide video in the manual on the project web site that should fix the exact issue you are having. (Hint: it involves adjusting and/or replacing the spring as you mentioned but that is only one of the steps. Physically adjusting the key through the wiggle method may help as well – sometimes you may need to widen the stems a little but be careful not to break things).
My guess is that you are either removing and using the same spring, you are not pushing the spring far enough down, you did not install the spring in the 12 o’clock position shown in the video, or some debris/dust has entered the keyboard below the PCB. Please do keep me posted.

Thank you, I followed the video and it’s working now!
