From what I’ve seen, original model M/F spacebars were made from ABS

Are the spacebars for the new model F keyboards made from PBT?

No; the IBM Model F and Model M keys all used PBT, space bar included; no ABS.

The new production Model F keys as part of this project even use the exact brand and model of original PBT material that IBM did, as relayed to me by a very helpful keyboard production manager of IBM Model F keyboards in the 1980s.
